Slow Growing & Nutrient Dense
We raise kunekune & mangalitsa pigs for a tender, rich, and marbled pork experience. They are both heritage breeds that were originally bred for their longevity in a natural environment with room to roam and forage. Their slow growth and room to free range and forage allows the omega fats to infuse into their muscles making for amazing marbling and flavor. This nutrient dense meat is red in color and perfectly marbled with high omega 3 and 6 fats. Ours are often raised for 12-14 months. Conventionally raised pigs are often fast growing and raised in confined spaces with concrete or metal floors that rarely get to see the sunshine or feel fresh air.
Non-GMO and No Antibiotics or Hormones
At Dozer Pharms we believe your food is your medicine and your food should be raised as such. Not only do our pigs get raised in green sunny pastures and woods with room to roam, but they are also never given antibiotics or hormones. In addition to grazing and foraging, we provide them with a high-quality, whole grain and locally grown non-gmo feed from Ernst Grain & Livestock in Clear Spring, MD.
Where to Purchase Our Heritage Pork
We offer retail cuts in our on-farm market​ along with bacon, sausage, ham steaks, pork chops, leaf fat and more.
